Adjust Bike Seat High To Grow Taller Natural Fast

Adjust bike seat high is another excellent ways to help you to grow taller naturally fast. This is accomplished by raising the seat of the bike by a couple of inches - this means that your legs will need to reach down further as you pedal. How to Adjust Your Bike Seat

from wikiHow
Having your bike seat adjusted to the right height is essential for a comfortable ride, efficient pedaling and avoiding injury. Here are some simple steps to help you find the correct height and adjust your seat as needed.

Steps

Determine your Optimal Seat Height
  1. Measure your inseam. This is essentially the distance from your crotch to the floor measured down the inside of your leg.
    • Multiply your inseam by 1.09. The resulting number will be the distance in inches that should be measured between the top of your bike seat and the axel of your pedals. For example: an inseam of 29 inches, multiplied by 1.09 equals 31.6 inches. So the top of your seat and the axel point of your pedals should be 31.6 inches apart. (This measurement can also be calculated with centimeters).
  2. Measure with your body. This can be done alternatively or in addition to measuring your inseam.
    • Prop your bike steady, either in a wheel lock or against a wall. Get on the bike.
    • Place your heels on the bike pedals and pedal backward. Your legs should be fully extended with your knees straight. If your hips rock from side to side while pedaling backward, the seat is too high.
    • Place the ball of your foot on the pedal. There should now be a slight bend in your knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. This is your optimal seat height.
Adjust your Bike Seat
  1. Determine method of adjustment. A quick-release lever at the base of the seat post can be opened and adjusted by hand. For a bolted seat post, use an allen key to loosen the bolt just enough to move the seat post.
  2. Adjust the seat height. Gently slide the seat post up or down to reach your ideal measurement.
  3. Make sure the seat is pointed directly forward. You might have to get on the bike to see if the seat feels like it is pointing too far left or right.
  4. Tighten the seat firmly. Either press the quick-release lever back down to its locked position, or re-tighten the bolts with your allen key until there is no movement.
  5. Go for a test ride. Make sure everything feels comfortable and enjoy your ride.

Tips

  • If your seat is too low, pedaling will quickly become exhausting. If your seat is too high, you are overextending your legs and rocking your hips, which could put you at risk for injury.
  • Most bike seats can also be tilted forward or backward. Choose a positioning that is comfortable and puts the least amount of tension on your back.
  • It is best if you adjust the seat height while wearing the shoes you plan to ride in.
  • Most bike shops will happily fit you to a bike of the correct size, or help you find your ideal adjustments on your own bike.

Warnings

  • Always inspect your bike before you ride it.
  • Do not raise your seat above the warning line printed on the seat post.
  • Riding an ill-fitting bicycle puts you at risk of repetitive-stress injuries.
